Polo Day

I went to the barn this morning and got all 3 horses worked in the beautiful warm weather that we had.  Luke only did 2 miles today.  I meant to do 3, and not really sure how I ended up losing a whole mile, but ah well, maybe next weekend.  It’s becoming my Sunday morning tradition to drive Luke for a while.  It’s very nice and relaxing.  And after buck-fest earlier in the week, we worked on calm, cool, and slow.  Luke never even broke a sweat and I made him trot most of the way.  He is the energizer pony.

Dixie got driven by the girl that’s working her for me.  And then I ground drove Chewbacca.  He did really well.  I figure I can ground drive him, and not screw too much up.  We did some work in the arena and then out, with the poles.  And then I hooked up a tire and Chewie walked around the barn area four or five times dragging a tire.  He did very well.

Then I went to a polo match.  My first one.  It was interesting.  Very dusty.  Made for some nice pictures, though.

I doubt I’ll become a regular at polo matches, though, LOL.  It was neat to check it out, though.
